General Information

Mrs. Dillard - Second Grade

The best way to reach me is by email.  I can also be reached via phone before and after school, and sometimes at lunch.

Each student will receive a spelling notebook at the beginning of the year.  Spelling notebooks should be used at home to practice spelling words each day but do not need to be turned in.  Students can also use Spelling City to practice their spelling words if they'd like.  Each week, a list of the homework to be completed will be sent home on Monday.  The homework should be turned in on Friday.  This will allow for flexibility during the week as students often have busy schedules.  There will be suggestions for what to complete each day, but students may work at their own pace.  I recommend you not wait until Thursday night to begin the homework.  Students will have a reading log to complete each week as well.

Planners are expected to be filled out every day by students.  Please sign or initial it daily.  Most messages will be reminders of homework and upcoming events.  You should also check to see if your child received a “Good Behavior” sticker for the day.  This is a quick way to communicate your child's behavior.  If your child has had difficulty following the rules or has not shown appropriate school behavior, he/she will not receive a sticker.
